Previous editor's comment about Duke's bar: "A little trashy, and half the songs on the jukebox didn't play, but there was no finer place to down Pabst pounders with fellow weirdos. Rest in peace, Duke's."

Glad somebody posted this. I've been wondering what they've been building here for the last few months. I used to see it every day from Route 65 on my way to work, but now I'm moving to Florida.

The view when you come out of the tunnel is something. I think this is the best 'entrance' to any city in the United States.

I had never heard the term either until I moved to the Oakcliffe part of Oakland and seeing as how it really is it's own little neighborhood and no one even seems to know it's here, I think it has earned it's right to be called Oakcliffe instead of Oakland. Besides, we already have a sign for the "Oakcliffe Corner Store"

Sir / Madame,
As a neighbor of Rooney Middle School I am pleading the School Board to please address the 50 ft. trees on the property adjacent to Herzog Street side of Rooney School. The city of Pittsburgh today removed 4 trees due to age and the fact that when heavy winds come the trees are beginning to snap and limps are falling on our properties. There are weeds that are so large the hang from the schools property across the entire road to a neighbors garage. I know that no one at the school can see past the trees but we in the neighborhood are fearful of property damage from the emence size and age of the trees and the damage to our homes.
Please feel free to contact me:
