Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania recent comments:

  • Allegheny Center Neighborhood, None (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
A vast, empty, bleak, untraversible office development girded by a mindnumbing one-way traffic system. Successfully gutted old Allegheny City as a viable community and effectively bars the northside of Pittsburgh from convenient access to the north shore and downtown. A civilized society would raze it, or at least get rid of the dumb one-way maze.
  • Kaufmann's Grand - EVEN Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown, Michael (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
STILL the best place to shop in Pittsburgh. Great lunch too!
  • Mitchell's Tavern, saycsax wrote 17 years ago:
I feel Mitchell's has a decent vibe going.
  • Wendy's, saycsax wrote 17 years ago:
W.R.T. the previous comment, I feel the establishment is more of a flaw in the diamond. It would be much more lovely to have a park or even an open lot between two churches instead of a fast-food restaurant. This is coming not from a religious zealot but an atheist.

  • Pittsburgh Union Station Rotunda, CrippledVulture wrote 18 years ago:
It was the train station. Actually the marker is over the rotunda, which was added after the building ceased to be the train station. It's a historic building that is not actually open to the public... I work here.

One of the best views of Pittsburgh - you look down the centerline of the Golden Triangle, with the city perfectly centered around Point State Park. This park was recently renovated, too.

Really great view of Bloomfield from this bridge.
